Antelope Canyon & Monument Valley

Antelope Canyon & Monument Valley. As I promised in My bis West Usa holiday trip, I want to share with you some pictures of the Gran Canyon area. We stayed there 3 days,  visiting the Gran Canyon South Rim, Monument Valley and Antelope canyon.
About Antelope Canyon I would just say it was an incredible experience! Located in Page, Arizona, it was shaped over millions of years due to the sandstone erosion by water and wind.
There are many Antelope Canyon guided tours. What I really suggest you is absolutely to book one in advance. It is high recommended especially if you want to be there at the best daily hour, around Midday, when its famous colors are more saturated and vivid. You will be accompanied by big Defenders in small groups of 8-10 persons and the tour lasts about 1,5 hour. If you are also planning to visit Monument Valley (do it!), I would also suggest you to book in advance two nights in Page, perfect stop for visiting Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon. We decide to stay at Courtyard Marriott Hotel Page, a cozy american country style hotel with nice outside pool and warm whirlpool, opened also at night.  This last small detail was very appreciated after our daily trips. The day after arriving in Page, we visited Monument Valley, and believe me if I write you that I really saw the immensity of Nature. It is a Navajo Nation tribal park, between the northeastern border of Arizona and southeastern of Utah. For visiting it you have to pay an extra fee since it is not included in the annual National parks pass.
