Weekend at Ebner’s Waldhof Fuschlsee

Last weekend was fabulous! I start this blog post by summarizing my stay at the Ebner’s Waldhof and by thinking that I would need more weekends like this.
The Ebner’s Waldhof is a family run hotel located right by the beautiful Fuschlsee, Lake Fuschl, with a high level combination of well-being and sport activities. You can relax and let yourself be pampered by the many proposals of the huge wellness & spa center or dive into their leisure activities. They also have a pretty big golf club, where you can have lunch at the Waldhof Alm, a cosy mountain hut style restaurant with a sunny terrace over golf course and wood.
The first day my husband “convinced” me to go for a long hike*… At the end I was really looking forward to float in the hotel whirlpool! After this intense day, I was still having some energy and I had great time by enjoying a romantic boat ride (I was still wearing the sauna bathrobe) and then paddle at sunset. So lazy and relaxing! It was so cool to have a private beach just in front of the panoramic pool and free use of canoes, boats and paddle boards. It’s been a while since I wanted to try paddle and as a first attempt it didn’t go bad at all! Maybe, together with the beautiful lake view from the wooden suite, paddle was my weekend highlight! If you have already checked my Instagram account your probably have seen the breathtaking sunset. I was speechless! (Quite rare! I like blabla bla, eheh)

Their refined gourmet proposal completed my stay. Guests can choose to have breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant or in the traditionally elegant Gütl Stubn. I personally loved this one!
Main focus are top-quality and local products for the five-courses dinner as well as for breakfast. During breakfast a chef makes any made-to-order egg dishes you desire and lots of delicatessen wait for you at the buffet: fresh handmade juices, wide bread and honey selection, delicious homemade jams, bio butter and a good selection of cheeses, cold cuts and müsli. A glass of a pleasing sparkle wine could not miss for celebrating an outstanding weekend!
